DESCRIPTION
The community-based organization CRES, Inc. or Coalición Restauración de Ecosistemas Santurcinos, aims to create harmony between all the sectors that make up the Santurce area and the environment for its enjoyment and conservation. Through this volunteer experience you will help the Proyecto de Tortugas Marinas (Sea Turtle Project) that seeks to afforest the coast to provide a better habitat to the species that live, visit or nest on the beach, such as the endangered species of the Tinglar or Leatherback Turtle. You’ll be part of a special workshop on sowing and historical interpretation of the development of the area with an educational focus on what actions an individual can take to contribute.

CRES, is a non-profit community organization co-created in 2014, with a coalition structure with the vision of creating a holistic work network to analyze and create restoration plans for ecosystems impacted by natural and / or anthropogenic causes, with the goal to establish a sustainable social-ecological relationship in their ecosystems in urban areas. Through the union with diverse and experienced organizations they have focused their plan in the restoration and conservation of the coral reefs, dunes and wetlands, reforestation and cleaning of the coasts, urban areas and the implementation of an effective recycling system, and in turn these will benefit the quality of life of all.
