DESCRIPTION

Meet CRES, Inc. or Coalición Restauración de Ecosistemas Santurcinos and help them maintain and restore the ecosystems of Santurce. The community of Punta Las Marías will provide an interesting interpretive tour of the flora, fauna, and history of the community efforts to rescue the Skatepark of Punta las Marías. The space has trails with native, endemic and introduced species, seaviews of the entire coast of Carolina and San Juan, ramps for skateboards and skates, and murals by local artists.

The tour includes sowing of native species germinated in the BUG Community Garden, and depending on the current needs, it can include maintenance work on sidewalks and pruning.

*All experiences are subject to tour operator availability and minimum number of participants.

Through the union with diverse and experienced organizations they have focused their plan in the restoration and conservation of the coral reefs, dunes and wetlands, reforestation and cleaning of the coasts, urban areas and the implementation of an effective recycling system, and in turn these will benefit the quality of life of all.
